Vaquita Porpoise T-shirt, Unisex Jersey Short Sleeve Tee

With fewer than 20 Vaquitas left, these shy porpoises are on track to becoming extinct unless something drastic happens.  
 
  Vaquitas are only found in the Gulf of California and are so critically threatened because being caught in fishing nets searching for a valuable black market fish bladder.  Efforts to start a breeding program have failed.  Because of their fragile nature, Vaquitas do not survive being captured and quickly die of stress.  
 
 
  
 
 
  Our only hope, as with many animal species is to educate people.  Animal body parts are not powerful aphrodisiacs or magically medicinal.  Animals are part of the eco-system and losing them affects all animals, including humans.
